Dead Umbrellas (Venice, Italy)
Arrival to a new city, to me new that is, rain flying, wind blowing, street sellers heckling the sale of umbrellas. The umbrellas that soon within minutes be destroyed by the storm. Morning arrives time to explore the city. The sun is out, a beautiful day. My camera is out to photograph the city and all its glory. However, something stops me. Everywhere I look are the remnants of the night before. The death of so many poorly manufactured umbrellas that could not survive the stormy night. My camera deceives me, instead of photographing the life of the city, the death is discovered. Thankfully they sit for at least someone has seen them. They tried but could not sustain the storm.
